About Us
Established in the 1960’s we deliver a fun, enjoyable and friendly
Early Years experience in a wonderful rural location.
Welcome!
Our Early Years team welcomes you and your family to our small, friendly rural setting where you can experience a wide range of indoor and outdoor learning and development activities.
Our Story
We are a small and super friendly Early Learning provider serving the parish of Newlands in the Scottish Borders.
Parental choice has allowed parents and carers from outwith our immediate catchment area to choose our setting in preference to other larger settings.
Our care staff are very experienced in settling children into our setting who have failed to settle in other settings.
Our management team work alongside Newlands Primary School to ensure our children are integrated into our joint ‘campus’ which also includes our wider Community through many joint events and activities.
Philosophy & Mission
Our Care staff and management team put our Children First and ascribe to ‘Getting it Right for Every Child’ (GIRFEC).
The Scottish Government’s priorities being to improve the lives of looked-after children and young people. It has relationships at its heart and reflects the ongoing collaborative work between the Scottish Government, Local Authorities, professionals, carers, families, and children and young people.
Helping Your Child Explore, Grow, & Learn
Our rural setting allows us to focus on the Natural world which surrounds our setting.
Going outdoors and bringing the outdoors indoors allows our care team to fully integrate our natural setting with the aims of the Curriculum for Excellence.
